Who: Minimum age is 12 years. Mountain Bike 101 is perfect for first time riders or anyone looking to hone technical skills. Riders need to be fit enough to participate in several hours of physical activity. If you have any doubts, you should consult your physician.
When and Where: Rides start in the morning with the gathering of the group and signing up waivers. Conditions will dictate exactly which trail we take. Then we go over gear and a bike inspection to ensure everyone is prepared for the ride. We'll then introduce basic information about mountain bikes, trail etiquette, and some riding positions.
South Bay Trekking Company will provide: Guides certified in First Aid and CPR, instruction in: bike components, riding positions, trail etiquette, and basic navigation, and first aid and emergency equipment.
